Ethiopian Artificial Intelligence Institutes discuss about the intellectual property rights for the products developed by the institute.

A meeting was convened to discuss the options for safeguarding intellectual property rights for the advancements in artificial intelligence technology being developed at the institute.   

Engineer Worku Gachena, the Director General of the Institute of Artificial Intelligence, delivered a presentation highlighting the institute’s undergoing since its establishment. He emphasized the importance of collaborating with other institutions to ensure global acceptance of the country’s AI technology products.

Dr. Fozia Amin, the Deputy Minister of Innovation and Technology, expressed her appreciation for the presentation and  inform their ministry’s commitment to prepare a comprehensive memorandum of understanding in order to foster a strong partnership with the institute.

Ato Woldu Yemesel, the Director General of the Ethiopian Intellectual Property Authority, assured that they will work collaboratively to protect the institute’s intellectual property rights both nationally and internationally.
